Note: Points are allocated to clubs based on their rankings after each NIS event as follows: 1=20 pts, 2=16pts, 3=14 pts, 4=12 pts, 5=10 pts, 6=9 pts, 7=8 pts, 8=7 pts, 9=6 pts, 10=5 pts. This system means that weight of numbers at a home event is not going to over influence the interclub series point score.

ROUND 5 - SYDNEY GRAND PRIX
- February 23 & 24, 2008

A disappointly low attendance was received for the 2008 Sydney Grand Prix, hosted once again by SORMCC at Whalan. This was another 2 day event with beautiful weather both days - which has been a rarity for RC events over the past few months. 4 round of Qualifying were held on Saturday, and then 2 Qualifiers and Finals on Sunday. There were a few notable abscences on the Saturday, one being Phil Woodbury who went straight to the top of the time sheets, taking TQ and eventually the win.

PDNR were once again the force to be reckoned with as far as the Nitro Interclub Series was concered, easily outnumbering all other clubs. Sadly many clubs, including NSWRCRCC were no-shows, so it was left to be a local derby between PDNR, SORMCC, Lithgow (LRCCC) and Mingara RC.

All three NIS touring car divisions were offered, Nitro Sport, Pull Start and Open Tourer, and the racing in all divisions was great. From the four clubs represened, PDNR were again victorious with a solid performance in all divisions, LRCCC in second, and home club SORMCC 3rd.

1st - PDNR - 1249 pts

2nd - LRCCC - 480 pts

3rd - SORMCC - 463 pts

4th - MINGARA RC - 151pts

ROUND 4 - SUMMER NATS - CANCELLED Due to Rain

ROUND 3 - MINGARA CUP
- November 10 & 11, 2007

Drivers competed in the 2007 Mingara Cup as part of Round 3 of the NIS. The event was washed out on Saturday, but Sunday was perfect and organisers managed to squeeze in three rounds of qualifying and finals to satisfy the racing gene. All four NIS divisions were offered, Nitro Sport, Pull Start, Open Tourer and 1/8 Scale, and the racing in all divisions was generally good. A total of six clubs were represened, PDNR were again victorious with a solid performance in Pull Start, but the big movers were the home club, who after some excellent individual performaces have jumped from 5th overall to 3rd after this event.

Although small in numbers the home club put on a great event and the organisers behind the scene should be happy with a total of 65 entries received across four divisions. Here are the NIS point allocations for Round 3 - Mingara Cup.

1st - PDNR - 1214 pts

2nd - MINGARA RC - 855 pts

3rd - NSWRCRCC - 608 pts

4th - GOSFORD - 497 pts

5th - SORMCC - 465 pts

6th - LRCCC - 257 pts

ROUND 2 - LITHGOW GRAND PRIX
- September 29 & 30, 2007

The 2007 Lithgow Grand Prix was well attended as many drivers made the trip over the Great Dividing Range to the country town of Lithgow. The Lithgow Radio Control Car Club (LRCCC) had prepared a great event and did a great job throughout the weekend. A total of 57 entries were received across four divisions. The competition was again close in all divisions, but it was PDNR again taking the round win.

1st - PDNR - 1211 pts

2nd - NSWRCRCC - 788 pts

3rd - LRCCC - 787 pts

4th - MINGARA RC - 197 pts

5th - GOSFORD - 144 pts

6th - ORANGE - 115 pts

7th - SORMCC - 95 pts

ROUND 1 - PDNR CHALLENGE - August 18 & 19, 2007

The 2007 PDNR Challenge was a huge event with 95 entries received across four divisions. Unfortuatley the two day event event was declared on Sunday morning due to rain without finals being run so results were allocated based on Saturday's qualiying. The competition was close in all divisions, but it was PDNR who took out their home event to kick start Season 2 of the Nitro Interclub Series.

1st - PDNR - 407 pts

2nd - NSWRCRCC - 309 pts

3rd - SORMCC - 114 pts

4th - LRCCC - 107 pts

5th - GOSFORD - 66 pts
